These are seashells that were once used as a form of payment in some African countries. Adding this element, which reminds me of my origins, to my products gives the brand a strong identity.

The Designer
Mariame, the brand's founder, drew her inspiration from a word her mother often repeated to her during her childhood: "DEDEME," which means "gently" in Fon, her mother's native language. The brand's creations naturally exude an impression of refinement and sophistication.
The designer draws inspiration from the different countries where she has lived, her cultural heritage, and her environment. With a fresh perspective on the fashion industry, she blends her cultural identity with her personal vision.
Passionate about fashion, Mariame is also interested in sustainable development and art. She created her own women's ready-to-wear brand, with the ambition of offering collections that fuse her cultural identity, her love for art and her unique approach to fashion.
